Give us this day ….

This morning found me reflecting on how spoiled I am. Yes. As a daughter of the King I find myself with all I really need and then some and it all began with this so simple breakfast … toast, egg, tangerine, juice.

this day

As I thanked God for me little breakfast I ended up quoting to myself the model prayer Jesus shared with His disciples … you know the one:

“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’  Matthew 6:9-13

and this is from the NIV although much of me memorization comes from the KJV because that’s what I used as a kid.

So, I’m just grateful as all get out that my ‘daily bread’ has been taken care of. I have so much more than I really truly need – I have choices galore. The other stuff brought up in this prayer is just awesome and can even be difficult but, it’s a given I don’t have to do life on my own.

Praise God – His Holy Name is precious and mighty to save.

Allowing and being a part of His Divine Will – for my life and in this crazy world

Providing for me and trusting Him for that and then, a tough one ….

Forgiving others  – little things, big things – and then accepting my own forgiveness

Asking for and trusting in His divine guidance …

Always remembering this:

“For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”  verse 13

He is truly SO  mighty and beyond all that is measurable – so good to me!!

How about you?
